Effective January 1, 2025, the career center at our headquarters will be named Goodwill Boston Career Center rather than MassHire Boston Career Center.

The name change reflects exciting changes we are making to align our career services more closely with Goodwill’s mission and to serve those most in need of career center services. The key elements of our approach include:

• Focus on Jobs: The career center will continue to provide services designed to assist job seekers find the jobs that are right for them and employer partners fill vacancies with qualified workers. The services will be targeted to those most in need of assistance and will emphasize in person rather than remote delivery. Please note that we will no longer offer services specifically related to supporting Unemployment Insurance claims.
• Emphasis on Local Neighborhoods: The Goodwill Boston Career Center will reemphasize supporting jobseekers in the local community, particularly our target neighborhoods of Roxbury, Dorchester, Mattapan and the South End.
• Collaboration in the Community: The career center will reach out to other organization in the community to reinforce our commitment to providing workforce development services to those most in need of assistance.
